Mrs. Jones,

I don't expect you to recognize my name. I'm one of the Natives here, looking after wanderer when I get the chance, and one's just come through who recognizes your name. A Mr. Ianto Jones, if you know him. Too new yet to have a journal of his own.

I've got him set up at the Marriott on the Magnificent Mile downtown, if you'd care to stop by . Otherwise, I just thought I'd inform you of his arrival.

Your friend,

Leona Sandric.

{{Backdated to not long after the Org/Trust meeting.}}

I've no idea how our little game with the Trust is going to play out, but much as I dislike it, I've got to acknowledge the possibility that it will end badly. I don't suppose you'd mind if I opened a very small line of communication to Torchwood on this one? Nothing official, nothing which couldn't be easily discounted or denied were it to come to the negotiating table, just one rank-and-file whore dropping a bit of information to a friend of his from outside the business.

I've a feeling that if they know what's coming for them, they'd be as disinclined to lay down on the altar as we would be to let them.

{{BACKDATED FOREVER. Backdated to sometime on Christmas. I, er, forgot.}}

Right, kids, I know how office gossip works, and I'm sure you've all heard your share of urban legends about the Kashtta Trust. Big, scary shadow government somewhere out in the Eastern world.

Apparently they've come to play in the Chicagoland area.

Their ambassador is on the journals, styling himself as "the Master." Unless you're acting with orders directly from me or Adam, you're not to have any contact with him.

And just to be on the safe side, keep your ears to the ground and your eyes to the journals. One never knows what sort of trouble unexpected guests will bring.

Adam,

I may have found something quite interesting for us. Definitely a wanderer – seems to be some kind of faun or satyr nowadays – definitely at the end of his rope. Wandering around waiting for the CLF to get him. Good gun training, though, and quite handy with those hooves. I'd say something professional from somewhere.

Whether or not he's more than just a curiosity will have to wait until I've got a chance to put him through a preliminary screen, and if he is, I'll call you with the details. I thought I'd give you the heads-up either way.

Aaron, I may have to borrow one of your assassins for a moment. Someone with absolutely nothing better to do.

{{OOC: Guess who usually doesn't do this sort of thing, as she's got people to do it for her? But sometimes you work your way up through the command structure when the in-house whore operatives can't track down a specific kitten in a city the size of Chicago, and sometimes a bit of authority is what's really necessary.}}

Luke, honey, I heard that you panicked a little at your last checkup, and hide nor hair's been seen of you since. We've got to get you back in, start you on a treatment regimen.

Where are you? If you need someone to pick you up, drive you in, just say the word.

Would any of you happen to know young Taylor Barnam?

And would any of you care to move to the Main Gauche for a while in order to make friends?
